RELIGIOUS STUDIES & PHSE

Jason has been teaching at Wetherby since 2006 and has been the PSHE and Religious Education Coordinator since January 2008. He comes from Australia and has been a teacher there for over 9 years at a Catholic Primary School. He has taught a broad range of classes whilst teaching at his school and has been involved in the planning and organising of Religious units for different year groups. Jason has a strong belief in his faith and highly values the opportunity that schools provide in allowing children to learn, experience, discuss, share and understand more about the religions that exist around them.

Each year group in the school has a Religious Studies and PSHE lesson each week.
In Religious Studies the boys will have exposure to many different religions, festivals, religious buildings, Saints and different religious texts.

In PSHE lessons the boys study many personal, health and social issues such as, keeping safe, keeping clean, looking after and caring for the environment, relationships, becoming a good citizen and making the most of their individual abilities.
