Grandparents' Day
What an exciting day Friday 14th of May was for all. Many Grandparents came to see our wonderful action packed school. Each grandparent had a guided tour by their grandson throughout the school and got to see all of the great work that Wetherby boys are achieving. The day ended with the grandparents having a hot drink and cake in the hall. We certainly look forward to next year's Grandparents' Day.
PGL 2010 May
PGL has been a great success this year. Boys and staff enjoyed the activities immensely. Here are a few opinions of boys about their time on PGL.
"My favourite activity was the Power Fan. We had to climb up a very tall wooden pole, about as tall as Wetherby. You then had to jump off a platform and a rope slowly lowered you to the ground. It was really fun because you got a really good view. "
Nicholas
"I loved the zip wire because it went really fast and you were really high above the ground. I also enjoyed the power fan although it was really scary. I was really proud of myself for jumping off from such a great height."
Emilio
"I loved sharing a room with my friends and having a midnight feast! Miss Chambré read us a bed time story. My favourite activity was the zip wire because when you jumped off it felt like you were flying!"
Johnny
"My favourite activity at PGL was aeroball. It is a game where you jump on trampolines and throw a ball into hoops. The winner is the person with the most points.
I also loved the giant swing. We were pulled up high into the trees and then we had to pull a rope to release us. We flew through the air at great speed and it feels like you are dangling the sky."
Konrad
"PGL was excellent! I loved the giant swing and abseiling. I am not afraid of heights which is a good thing because I spent so much time high above the ground. The food was delicious and it was such fun sleeping in bunk beds with my friends."
Otto
"My favourite on PGL was the disco. There were some great tunes and I loved dancing! I lied the lights and Mr Smith did some great dance moves. The food was yummy but there were long queues."
