Wetherby Pre-Preparatory School

Wetherby Pre-Preparatory School

School Council

At Wetherby School we have a School Council. The School Council is made up of one boy from each class from Reception to Year 3. We meet twice a term to discuss what we would like to improve in our school to make it even better than it is already.

Each classroom has a Suggestion Box where any boy in the school can post a suggestion. These suggestions are brought to the School Council Meetings and discussed. At the end of the meeting we all agree on some targets that we are going to achieve by the next meeting. There are always some fantastic suggestions and we try to achieve as many as we can. Suggestions have included: more school trips, pizza for lunch, a statue of Mr Snell in the Hall, more books for the library, Disneyland trip. Some of our targets were easier to achieve than others! We are still waiting for the statue of Mr Snell to appear!

We recently had a Halloween lunch and scary hair day which was so much fun! These were suggestions from the boys at wetherby.

School Council Representatives are chosen at the beginning of each term. If you would like to be a School Council Representative please click on the link below for more information:
