Sports Update

Year 2 vs The Falcons

The Dragons started off their first football fixture of the season in brilliant style. From the first whistle it was an all-out attack, but the boys somehow went into half time 0-0. Theodore grabbed the first goal then Dylan scored via a Leo corner. Dylan turned from goal scorer to assist-maker as Theodore got his second. Dylan then rounded things up with a neat finish late on as the game finished 4-0. Man of the Match was new Wetherby signing Carlos for his all-round brilliance.

The All Blacks dominated their game and created chance after chance but bizarrely only scored 1 goal through William. The game finished 1-0 but it should have actually been a lot more. The boys must work on their finishing skills. The Springboks were never going to lose with Miss Shaw in control. Nicholas scored the deciding goal moments from full time after Moritz scored early on. The home team won 2-1. The Wallabies won 3 – 0 in a very one sided game. The Falcons failed to enter the Wallabies half for the majority of the game. Goals came from Rex, Leo and Man of the Match Buddy.

The 5th and final game was the most satisfying of them all as the Pumas annihilated the Falcons winning 9 – 0! Caspar and Leonardo both scored 1, Johnny and Victor both scored 2 and Man of the Match Henry bagged himself a hat trick.

Year 3 v The Falcons

The Year 3 boys have shown some great form this season and they seemed super keen to continue their unbeaten run despite a delayed kick off due to a helicopter landing! The Dragons created chance after chance but seemed a little goal shy in the first half as they went into half time 2-0 with goals from Tyler and Raphael but had created in excess of 15 chances. The second half saw them continue to dominate and they were a little more clinical in front of the goal as Tyler grabbed his second with Arthur and Ale getting on the score sheet. The match finished 5-0.

The All Blacks produced the result of the day as they won 8-0 with their goals coming from a Ludo hat trick, 2 from Nicolo and one from Aston.

The Springboks were 2-0 winners with a solid performance as Lewis and Roman grabbed the only goals of the game
