We are delighted to announce that our school has been shortlisted for the prestigious Talk Education Awards for Innovation in Education 2025 in the category of Entrepreneurship and Business. This recognition highlights our commitment to equipping pupils with the skills, mindset, and adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world where many future careers have yet to be imagined. It places us among the UK’s leading independent schools fostering innovation and preparing the leaders of tomorrow.
The Entrepreneurship and Business category celebrates schools that empower students to think creatively, take calculated risks, and develop enterprise skills from an early age. At Wetherby Kensington, we integrate entrepreneurial thinking into the curriculum through hands-on projects, interactive workshops, and opportunities for pupils to lead initiatives. In Year 3, we have a month-long entrepreneurship project which challenges the boys to create their own business idea and present it to our teachers in a Dragon’s Den-style format. They then sell their wares in our annual Makers’ Market held in our garden, which is open to our parent community in support. All proceeds are donated to charity.
These experiences are designed to nurture curiosity, resilience, and leadership—qualities essential for success in an unpredictable future. By embedding these principles into our pre-preparatory education, we aim to lay strong foundations for lifelong learning and adaptability.
Talk Education’s Awards for Innovation in Education are designed to recognise schools that are redefining traditional education and preparing pupils for the challenges of tomorrow. As the education landscape continues to evolve, we are proud to be recognised for our forward-thinking approach. It underscores our belief that preparing children for the future starts with challenging them today. We are committed to providing meaningful, future-focused education that inspires every child to reach their full potential.
