Wetherby enjoyed our annual Poetry Day on Thursday 13th June. At 11 Pembridge Square, award winning Poet and Hip Hop Artist, Karl Nova, entertained the boys with his story telling and humour. In 19 Pembridge Villas Sally Crabtree had a fun day singing songs and sharing poems with the boys. In the morning, the finalists of our poetry competition performed in front of the school. Alongside Mrs McNicholas, our guest poets has the unenviable task of choosing a winner per year group. This year, there were outstanding performances and it was a very tough decision indeed. The boys looked like they all had a fantastic time and it was, once again, a great success. Karl Nova has challenged all boys to write a special poem about ‘truth’ which we will send to him before September 2019.
