Wetherby at the West End!

This week brought the excitement of our Choir and Instrumental concert.  The theme this term was West End Musicals, and the boys rose admirably to the challenge and delight of this fantastic treasure trove of repertoire.  The concert included items from the Year One, Year Two, Year Three choirs and the Wetherby singers, as well as two pieces from the Wetherby Orchestra, with extracts from shows as diverse as Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This was also interspersed with solo performances from across the year groups.  All the boys delivered their numbers with energy, enthusiasm and aplomb.  The evening was tinged with a little sadness, however as all the boys gathered together for the finale item, which was a goodbye song for the legendary Ms Dingle. We are very grateful for all the kindness, help and inspiration that she has given to generations of musicians at the school.  Well done to all the boys who took part and goodbye Ms Dingle!
